Hyla Law Firm is a solo practice founded by attorney Erica Hyla, who has been licensed in Louisiana since 2012. The firm represents individuals and businesses throughout Louisiana — from injury and insurance disputes to the contracts and transactions a business runs on. You work directly with Erica from first call to resolution.

Ms. Hyla earned her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012, graduating magna cum laude — ranked first in the evening division and sixth in her class overall. At Loyola she was a member of the Loyola Law Review and a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar, served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing and as a legal research assistant, and taught street law classes at Grace King High School.

She was awarded the Providence Sarah LaNasa Scholarship, the Frederick J. Gisevius, Jr. Scholarship, and a Loyola University College of Law Grant, and was recognized for excellence in Legal Research & Writing, Civil Law Property I, Community Property, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Courts in a Federal System, and the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University (2007), earned cum laude.
